FEAST Explores Food Sustainability in Alto Minho

On 8 October, the FEAST consortium including INRAE - IRD teams and Avignon living lab, were invited by its partner IPVC (Instituto Politécnico de Viana do Castelo) and the Alto Minho region to explore local good practices in sustainable production and the promotion of healthy diets, emphasizing the importance of the relationship between producers and school canteens. The visit covered the sub-regions of Lima Valley and Minho Valley (the Facha Education Centre and the Ponte de Lima EB1 School) and provided a closer look at innovative projects and community initiatives that are transforming the region's food system specially concerning public food school procurement.
